I've been using this Rexamat Japanese Super 8 camera for a few days now, and it has worked fine through one roll, until the film advance mechanism has stopped turning. I checked the batteries and put in fresh ones, and I hear whirring sounds only when the camera is upside down. Still, the mechanism that turns that circular wheel does not turn. anyone know how to troubleshoot this? I'm using ektachrome 160 film and it has worked with and without film in there until now. any help would be great.
thank you.

You may not want to hear it but your camera may be gone unless you want to sink some cash into it. Even then it may not be worth the cost. If a part is broken and no longer made then you are even deeper trouble. You can call Irv Higdon in California 1-800-318-3259 he fixes cameras. Good Luck
